As a professional auto mechanics, I have bought and used many ECU chip tuning tools in the past 20 years. Except those cheap but bad cables, this kind of tool usually costs a lot. But this time the MPPS V16 ECU programmer I purchase is inexpensive and works great.
The tool is ordered from a Chinese seller for $49. Shipping only took 7 days from China by DHL. The package contains a main unit, a cable and a CD, which has software inside. The tool was well protected in bubble wrap when it arrived at my door this morning.
I have no problem installing the software. By the way, the tool requires Windows XP SP2 system. If you do not have the system, you can ask the seller for it. After the software was installed, I tested it on my 2009 VW Passat CC straight away. It really worked. No dongle required. I also tried it on my wife’s Holden Vectra 2.0, and it worked as well.
By far I have not tested the tool on other cars. So I cannot tell how it works on other cars. But according the way it works, I can tell it is just what I want.
