In this article, we are going to share you some tips on unlocking PCR2.1 using Original FoxFlash. During unlocking, software may get stuck or crash due to incorrect operations.
1.Through OBD
One customer gave feedback that ECU got locked by software when FoxFlash tried reading it via OBD.
It is normal, read data out and write it back, then device will unlock ECU.
(Connect>>Virtual Read>>Write data back>>Unlocked)
*Read data instead of password, or software may get stuck or crash
2.On Bench
For some PCR2.1 versions, Foxflash server doesn’t have virtual file, so we unlock them on Bench
Same process to unlock it.
Connect>>read eeprom>>write data back>>unlocked (Bench Box is required)
*Carefully follow PINOUT and watch if bench box is required, or software may crash
