This is how to setup Elsawin 5.2 on windows 10 64bit, esp for those with an error “unlicensed version”.
Background info:
Had windows 7 running – Elsa working fine, then updated to windows 10 and it stopped with the error this is unlicensed version, then during windows 10 update, it seemed to fix it self.
Then,it happened again, this time I used the keygen to register it and it worked!
Now, its done it again and still says this error even after using keygen again and can’t get past this issue.
Here’s the solution:
First:
start ElsaWin administration
login:admin/admin
Click to File on the left in the first line then code then code query or somthing like that. (I’m using the hungarian vers.)
On the pop-up window will be a provisional code. The final code block is empty!
Use the keygen how when you installed the program at first time.
The new final code paste to the empty block.
Don’t close the administration panel!
Start ElsaWin main program and will work.
Not fixed the problem but Elsa will work for …..

For those running Windows 10 (32bit) and Elsawin 5.20, have a try with the solution if possible. Maybe it works also. Good luck!!!
How to setup Elsawin software on Windows 10?
ElsaWin 4.0 and 4.1 update should not have any problems installing first regardless, but most of the problems exist in the Elsawin 5.0 update when the SQL 2008 is installed. Windows 10 will give warning that the SQL 2008 may not be compatible, but it won’t stop the installation if everything is update correctly.
*** Make sure to run the setup.exe with Administrator permission ***
After every version installation finished, we should check to make sure the software is working. We should create a user for English as Administrator beside admin (password is admin) as default.
ElsaWin 5.0 update after 4.1 is done.
When the 5.0 update is done with the SQL server installation, the 5.1 and 5.2 update should be a breeze.
When every update is done, we need to install Acrobat 5.0.5 reader and SVG Viewer.
Now, we can install the Audi or VW data for ElsaWin 5.1 or 5.2 whichever the case may be. This process will take a long time since Audi data ~ 26 GB and VW ~ 36 GB
When everything is done, login as user, we should see the guide for accessing ElsaWin Repair Manual.
